1. 미국 방송계 최고 권위를 자랑하는 에미상 시상식에서 2021년 세계적인 돌풍을 일으킨 한국 드라마 오징어 게임이 비영어권 드라마 최초로 남우주연상과 감독상을 수상했습니다. 

The Korean survival drama series Squid Game, which took the world by storm in 2021, has become the first non-English TV show to win best actor and best director at the prestigious primetime Emmy Awards.

NOTE 드라마가 아닌 드라마 시리즈란 점에 주목. 예를 들어 프렌즈는 시트콤이지 드라마라고 할 수 없다.

2.국제원자력기구 (IAEA)가 북한이 영변 핵시설 건물을 확장한 채, 우라늄 농축 시설 가동을 재개한 것으로 보인다고 전했다. 

The international Atomic Energy Agency says North Korea appears to have resumed operation of its uranium enrichment facility at the Yongbyon nuclear complex, while carrying out construction work there.

4. 조 바이든 미국 대통령은 바이오 분야의 해외 의존도를 낮추고 미국 내 생산을 강화하기 위한 국가 생명공학 및 바이오 제조 이니셔티브 행정명령을 발동했습니다. 

US President Joe Biden has launched a new bioeconomy initiative aimed at reducing reliance on foreign suppliers and bolstering(=boost) US research and development across a broad swath(=wide range) of products.

5.우크라이나군이 러시아가 점령한 북동부 전선에 대한 반격을 계속하자 러시아가 하르키우에서 더 많은 병력을 철수시켰습니다. 

Russia has withdrawn more forces from the Kharkiv region, retreating from (=run away) a swath of northeastern Ukraine as Kyiv's forces continued their push into Russian-occupied territory.
